| Master Acting Workshop Saturday, July 19, 2008 Adaron Hall, Durham Arts Council, Durham, North Carolina Saturday, July 26, 2008 Minneapolis, Minnesota Workshop Hours 9:00am - 5:30pm Continental Breakfast and Lunch Provided (Registration and Breakfast Begin at 8:15am) This workshop is designed for the beginning actor or theatre student in need of additional training in the areas of audition preparation, character development and entering into the professional world of performance. Preparation for undergraduate and graduate school auditions for various schools, universities, conservatories and theatre competition programs will be reviewed. Techniques for various acting, breathing and physical movement exercises based on the teachings of the Alexander Technique, Meisner and Uta Hagen will be used throughout the workshop. Basic knowledge on entering into the business, avoiding contract scams and marketing oneself and audition for agents, casting directors and professional theatre companies will be offered in the Master Acting Workshop.
